Princess Maua is a lion cub. She is the only daughter of Kovu and Kiara and the younger sister of Badru and Kheri.
Physical appearance[]
Maua is a dark brown-colored lioness cub. She has black on the inside of her ears and her tail tip is black. Her muzzle, chest and stomach are a golden-yellow color, and she has red eyes. She has a bright pink nose.
Personality[]
Maua is a playful and kind young lion cub. She does not say as much as the other cubs and is sort of shy. She is close to her parents and her uncle and aunt, Kion and Rani. Maua gets along with most of the cubs except for rambunctious Tani. She likes to practice hunting by pouncing on things.

- Her name means "flower" in Swahili.
- She is one of the only cubs with paws the same color as the rest of her body.
- She likely inherits this trait from her grandmother Nala.
- Maua is more outgoing as a teenager and adult.
- Only recently was her muzzle, chest and stomach color added to her design.
- She is only defensive on rare occasions.
