Leopons are lion/leopard hybrids that appear in The Lion King fanfictions.

Just like leopards, a leopon's speed is nearly as fast as a cheetah, but they can leap further and have better agility to zigzag. They are great jumpers, able to jump branch to branch to get away from their enemies. Leopons are also very good climbers. They live in groups called prides, or leaps, and operate in a monarchy system, where the firstborn child of the current ruler serves as the crown prince or princess.
Leopons have the body of a lion and the spots of a leopard. Their rosettes are usually outlined in many different colors and filled in with a lighter color. Their tails are usually striped, though some are one solid color. Some male leopons have a short mane.
Leopons are naturally shy, but also jovial and fun-loving, rarely ever being hostile. Some are scared of lions, but most can forge friendships with those kind. Leopons are know to be very playful, sometimes forgetting their own strength when roughhousing. Leopons are also known for intelligence. In addition, many leopons are wise and humble and have a great sense of humor.
