Thank you for the invitation, your majesty. The Dusty Plain is a very small kingdom and I am grateful for any alliances I can form during this time. I would like to form lasting friendships with you all.

A Wonderful Royal Summit[]

Before the Royal Summit can begin, Zazu reports that an unrecognizable herd of impalas is approaching Mizimu Grove. They enter, and the herd's leader introduces himself as Kuro, the king of the Dusty Plain impalas. He apologizes for their intrusion, but cites that they have traveled far to see the Pride Lands. Pwani asks how they knew they'd be in the grove while Mzazi stares curiously at Kuro, questioning how he heard about the Royal Summit. The impala clarifies that they overheard news from other animals whilst they were on their way, and Simba, explaining that the summit was called to discuss the onset of the dry season, invites Kuro's Herd to participate. Kuro thanks him, revealing that the Dusty Plain is a small kingdom and appreciating any alliances that can be formed - he wants to form lasting friendships with them all.

When Simba mentions Scar, Kuro is confused and questions who he is, to which the lion says that he was his uncle and the brother of his father. Not too long ago, his fiery spirit appeared in the volcano, but Kion, his Lion Guard, and their allies fought in repeated clashes against him and his forces until his final defeat. After Kabila and Tiifu raise concern about dry lightning, Kuro comments that he is familiar with the weather phenonemon, mentioning that the Dusty Plain has been plagued with drought for so long that all of their water holes dried up. While they have started their recovery, he appreciates any help that can be given. Ajani, sharing sympathy for the impala, offers his assistance, whether through the water sources in Leopon Plains or with predator attacks. Respectfully, Kuro inclines his head and thanks him, accepting his offer on the behalf of his herd. Simba then concludes the Royal Summit, declaring Kuro's Herd as new allies.
