Kopa and Vitani's wedding is an event that took place at the Tree of Life. It was the marriage of Kopa and Vitani, who had fallen in love a few months before. Several other events also happened during the wedding.
Summary[]
A few months before, Kopa had found his way back to the Pride Lands, having run away as a cub. Him and Vitani, who at first had an awkward friendship, soon fell in love slowly over time. After their love was professed, they got married at the Tree of Life, where Kopa's brother Kion lived, and the wedding was extravagant.
Story[]
Everyone was abuzz. Simba's pride had arrived at the Tree of Life about a half an hour ago. They were all itching to watch Simba's long-lost son, Kopa, and Vitani, his would-be mate, say their vows. It had been such an exciting thing to have a long-lost Prince return, but then to have him marry as well? It was all so exciting. All the lionesses were chatting and giggling amongst themselves, members of the pride mingling with the Night Pride. The atmosphere was friendly and informal.
At the entrance to the Tree, Kopa sat waiting. Above him was an embroidered flower wreath that extended from one end of the ground to the other, made by Nirmala, Queen Rani's close friend. Kion and Rani stood to the right of Kopa, while his friend Afua stood to the left.
"I'm glad you've made such an important decision." Kion told his brother. "It's an honor to hold your wedding here."
"Thank you Kion." Kopa said. The guests started to make themselves comfortable around each end of the aisle.
Nearby, Vitani was getting herself ready in Nirmala's supply chamber. Kiara and Imara were helping her.
"Your hair tuft just needs to be a little more groomed..." Kiara said. "Mind if I comb it for you?"
"It looks fine," Vitani said, flattening her hair down. "I don't think anyone's gonna care about that."
"You never know," Kiara smiled. "Especially with Zuri in the crowd."
Vitani rolled her eyes, then exhaled to stop her frustration. "You like great," Imara said, backing up to view her friend. "I'm sure Kopa will think so, too."
"Thanks," Vitani said. "Both of you."
Her friends smiled. "You ready?" Kiara asked.
"Ready."
Some lions mumbled in the crowd about why Vitani was taking so long. Kopa rocked himself around, a little nervous.
Then Vitani stepped out, and everyone turned to view her.
Decked in flowers, the lioness received many "wows" and "ohs" and "awe, doesn't she look gorgeous?" from the crowd. Kiara and Imara took their places on the right side of the aisle.
Vitani walked down the aisle, feeling anticipation yet slight nervousness. She tried not to look back at everyone staring at her.
Soon the tears started amongst the lionesses. Even Tiifu and Zuri, who had feelings for Kopa before, started to cry.
Vitani finally reached Kopa at the entrance of the Tree, sitting down near him.
"You look beautiful," Kopa told her. "Thanks," Vitani said. "You look great, too."
"Are you ready for this?" Kopa asked. "This new chapter in our lives?"
"Yes, I am." Vitani replied. "Our life now."
"Yep. Ours."
The vows and such began, led by Makini. Everyone watched in anticipation.
With a smile from both, Kopa and Vitani exchanged a nuzzle, then held paws, signaling their marriage was final.
Everyone cheered. Vitani smiled at the excited crowd, then smiled back at her mate.
As the new pair mingled for the rest of the day, the sun set on their old lives, and later rose on their new one.
THE END.
