Prince Kopa is a male African lion (part Asiatic.) Kopa is the Smartest Member of the Lion Guard. He is a prince of the Pridelands and Simba’s Pride. He was also a former Night Pride Member at the Tree of Life. He is the son of King Simba and Queen Nala, the older brother of Princess Kiara and King Kion, the mate of Vitani, and the father of Maua and Ishara II.
Description[]
Kopa has golden brown fur, teal eyes like his mother, pink nose and a brown mane. His underbelly, paws and muzzle is lighter in colour. He has ear rims, and unlike his father, the ear rims remained until adult. His muzzle is big, like his paternal grandfather.
Personality[]
Kopa was naturaly curious, playful and cheerful as a cub. Though he gets easily scared and terrified when bad things happen to him, shown when Zira attacked him. When he was very injured by Zira and is found by Azaad, he was very depressed and so terrified of Zira, that he wants to stay as far away as her as possible. At the tree of life, he calms down about Zira, and learns to accept life with the Night Pride under the protection of Queen Janna. His deeply misses his family and Vitani, though.
As an adult, the Tree of Life haven’t fully healed him, mentally because he still feels a bit depressed about not seeing Vitani everyday. He was very quiet and shy around strangers he doesn’t trust. He was a very introverted individual, and he only opens to Azaad, Queen Janna, Vitani, and his family back at the pridelands.
As the smartest member of the Lion Guard, Kopa had grown to be more open to strangers, as they rescue them from dangers.

Trivia[]
-His name means "Heart" as in playing cards, in Swahili.
-After he was attacked by Zira, his former friend and his mother in law, he ran away from the pridelands. After Zira lied to Simba that Kopa was dead, he believed him.
-Kopa was found unconscious by Azaad (the cheetah) who were allies with the Night Pride, and he took him there to get healed both physically and mentally at the Tree of Life
-After King Kion’s and Queen Rani’s Coronation, learning that Zira is dead, Kopa returned to the Pridelands to see his lost father, mother, sister and old friend.
-Kopa is the only semi-canon cub in Simba’s Family
-Kopa was seen at the end of the Lion King 1, being held by Rafiki. He was actually a ”template” cub with an indeterminate gender, called Fluffy, by Walt Disney. Despite, this in my headcanon, the cub at the end of the original Lion King is actually Kopa.
