The cubs found Tani hanging out with her parents, Spotty and Afua.
"Hi Tani," Kheri said.
Tani got up from resting between her mother's paws. "See you later, Mom!"
She ran up the group. "What's goin on, guys?"
Majuto rolled her eyes as Kheri asked, "So I hear you're fast, Tani. Is that true?"
"Are you kidding?" Tani replied, with a cocky attitude, "Of course I'm fast! I bet I'm the fastest cub in Kovu's pride! Why?"
"Because... Kheri started, "I'm starting a J-junior Lion Guard, and I want you to be the fastest."
"Really?" Tani asked enthusiastically. "Alright. Just wait till Badru hears about this. I'm totally in!"
"That leaves only the smartest," Safiya piped up. "And I'm pretty sure we all know who that is."
"Have you seen Kamaria, Tani?" Kheri asked the lioness cub.
"I think she's hanging out with Scruffy and Beauty Spot. Her mom probably asked them to watch her again." Tani told him.
"Then let's go find them," Kheri said.
And the now five cubs were off again, trailing close behind each other.
