Kanga is a female impala. She is the mate of Kuro, the mother of Okala and Mulele, and the queen of the Dusty Plain.
She is a minor character in Legends of the Lion Guard.
Appearance[]
Kanga is a medium-sized impala with a dark-golden brown coat. Patches of darker brown break up her back while her muzzle and underbelly is gray-white. She has a black head tuft, ear tips, and tail, pale gray inner ears, a gray nose, and dark gray horns. Her hooves are black and her eyes are a pale shade of lavender.
Personality[]
Known to the impalas of the Dusty Plain as a strong and proud queen, Kanga takes much pride in her duties and is always open to new experiences. She will do anything in her power to keep her herd strong and is very dutiful, helping Okala navigate being prince and eager to strike a new treaty if it means both sides will prosper.

Backstory[]
Kanga was born in the Dusty Plain. At one point, she married Kuro, became queen of the impalas residing in the Dusty Plain, and gave birth to one son, Okala. Later, she and Kuro had another son, Mulele.

A Wonderful Royal Summit[]
Kanga and her family unexpectedly enter Mizimu Grove to join the Royal Summit and are introduced as the monarchy of the Dusty Plain. When Chifu inquires as to what the Dusty Plain is like, Kanga describes it as a drought-battered kingdom with little rain and dried watering holes. Even with no water and a barren population, it ensures their safety from predators. After Kuro accepts Ajani's offer of help, Kanga says that they are pleased to be welcome among the other kingdoms. At the end of the Royal Summit, Simba declares Kuro's Herd new allies of the kingdoms.
