Kambu is a female lilac-breasted roller that lives in the Uotaji Woods.
Appearance[]
Like the rest of her species, Kambu is a vibrant strikingly colored bird. Her back is an olive yellow hue, fading to leaf green atop her head. Her wings are olive along the area near her back, and the rest of the feathers are in shades of blue. Along the top they are a bright sapphire color, which gives way to a layer of ice blue before turning blue-black at the tips. She has a bright aquamarine blue underside and reddish purple patches beneath each eye. She has white stripes extending from her beak to her eyes, which are round and orange in color. As the name of her kind suggests, she has a patch of soft lilac feathers on her breast. Her legs are pale yellow, and her beak are tail feathers are black. She is a small and flexible bird, with a fluffy chest and well-kept feathers. Her claws are short and gray.
Personality[]
A caring and nurturing bird, Kambu enjoys the practice of healing and does her best to make others feel well. She is very gentle, hating the idea of causing anyone pain even if it is necessary to help them. She is fairly sensitive herself, and the sight of blood or gore makes her feel uneasy. Though she is respected for her willingness to give others care, she is often viewed as haughty due to the vast amount of time she spends preening herself and flaunting his colorful plumage. She enjoys calm, peaceful flights, especially in wooded areas. Kambu is shy around larger animals, but she never acts nervous if an animal, regardless of size, seeks her help or comfort. She has a small crush on a hoopoe who lives near her, Tamko, but is uncertain about seeking a partnership with him.
History[]
Early Life[]
Kambu hatched to a pair of birds who loved each other deeply. Her mother and father both knew some things about healing, knowledge that they passed onto her. When she grew up, she bid them farewell and left the nest, but has yet to seek out a mate of her own. She occasionally returns to her parents if she needs advice or if she just wants to talk.
