The Heshima Clan is a group of hyenas led by a matriarch named Chuki in The Lion Guard: A New Era. The Heshima Clan is noted to be a peaceful clan who respects the Circle of Life. Members of the clan who do not adhere to the rules are exiled for life.

Askari is the guardian of matriarch Chukiana. He is loyal to the clan and cares greatly for Chuki.
Ashanti[]
Ashanti is the daughter of Jasiri and Janja and granddaughter of Chuki. She appears as a cub in the last chapter of A New Era.
Janja[]
Janja was initiated into the Heshima Clan during the Isokan. He is the mate of Jasiri and father of Ashanti.
