Goigoi is an adult male jackal that lives in the Outlands. He is the mate of Reirei, the father of Dogo, Kijana, Bila, Chaka, and Checka, and a member of Reirei's Pack.
He is an antagonist in Legends of the Lion Guard.
Appearance []
Unlike his mate, Reirei, Goigoi is not well-groomed. He has a lanky, skinny frame, with thin legs and an arched back. His pelt is light brown, and his ear rims, muzzle, paws, and underbelly are tan. A thick stripe of black runs up his back, ending in a short tuft over his forehead, and his tail is tipped with black. His eye shades are a dull grayish-brown, and his eyes are black.
Personality[]
Though the jackals are known for being schemers, Goigoi is not the brightest, being only able to think with his stomach, and has a tendency to lounge about and sleep. Even so, he takes a devious delight in his mate's scheming, and he has a habit of agreeing with everything Reirei says.
History[]
Legends of the Lion Guard: Protectors of the Pride Lands[]
The New Heroes[]
Reirei and Goigoi learn from Shupavu and Nyata that the Lion Guard feels replaced by two mysterious lions. They decide to take out Rafiki, knowing that he won't stand a chance against them, and they attack him at Mizimu Grove. However, their plan backfires, as Rafiki uses his sharp martial arts skills to send them flying away.
An Enemy In Trouble[]
Goigoi, Reirei, and Mbweha are looking around Urembo River, finding zebras. As she attempts to cross the river, the log under Reirei snaps, and she is carried away. With no other choice, Goigoi and Mbweha seek out the Lion Guard. They find the Guard, pleading for their help, and while they are hesitant, agree since they help everyone regardless of their view of the Circle of Life. After she is rescued, Reirei is furious at her mate and sister for allowing their enemies to rescue them, rebuking the two jackals as they return to the Outlands.
Legends of the Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands[]
Goigoi and his pack attend a meeting at Broken Rock, and Ushari orders them to attack Kion's blind brother, Nguruma. Shortly after, they attack Nguruma, Hasani, and Shauri at Lake Kiziwa, but Kion soon roars them away. Later, the pack meets again with various antagonists at the volcano, and Goigoi mentions how Rafiki beat him and Reirei. When discussing his plan to take out Rafiki and Makini, Reirei's Pack is present, and Scar orders Janja's Clan to take the jackals with them to Mapango Cliffs. They close in on Rafiki, and Goigoi lunges for the mandrill, but he is knocked back by his bakora staff. The Lion Guard joins the battle, and Beshte slams into Goigoi, causing him to fly back. Eventually, Kion defeats the Outlanders with the Roar of the Elders. When Scar commences his attack on the Pride Lands, he sends Reirei's Pack and Kiburi's Float to conquer Mizimu Grove.
Zazu sees them cross the border, and he warns Simba, who tells him to inform the Lion Guard. Upon finding out, Kion sends Beshte and Fuli to Mizimu Grove, but they become outnumbered quickly there. Alarmed, Simba sends Jivin, Rani, and Baliyo to Mizimu Grove, and they charge into battle. Baliyo and Jivin slam into Goigoi at the same time, sending him flying. Shortly after, Reirei's Pack confronts Kion, Ono, Mhina, and his siblings at Chakula Plains. Kion kicks Goigoi away as he warns Reirei that it'll take a lot more to defeat the Lion Guard. Reirei and Goigoi pin Kion down, angering Mhina, and he knocks Reirei away. Kion throws Goigoi off of him, saying that if Reirei wants a fight, she fights them all, which she is fine with. Eventually, the jackals are blinded by Azaad and Fuli's wake, and with them distracted, everyone rushes to Pride Rock. Later, Scar orders his forces to act like they are putting up a fight. In the battle, Ma Tembo makes Reirei bowl into Goigoi, Nduli, and Tamka. Eventually, the Outlanders retreat.
