Transcript[]

On a peaceful day in the Pride Lands, the Lion Guard was relaxing in the Lair.

“Do you think we'll have any big missions today?” Bunga asked.

“I don't know, Bunga. We might.” Kion said.

“Something's always happening in the Pride Lands.” Fuli added.

Suddenly, Vitani appeared at the entrance to the Lair.

“Lion Guard, you have a visitor.” Vitani said.

“Who is it, Tani?” Kion asked.

Vitani stepped aside, and Mhina moved forward.

Instantly, Kion's expression brightened.

“Hi, Mhina.” Kion said brightly.

“Hi Kion.” Mhina said.

Beshte cleared his throat.

“How long can you stay today?” Beshte asked.

“Dad wants me back by sundown.” Mhina said.

Vitani chuckled.

“Have fun today, kiddos.” Vitani said warmly.

“See you later, Tani.” Kion said.

He watched as Vitani headed out into the Pride Lands.

“So, what's the plan today?” Mhina asked.

“Right now, we're just relaxing. Until another crisis needs our attention.” Kion said.

Mhina moved forward, and leapt up onto the ledge, beside Kion.

“Even if we aren't on a patrol or mission, it's still nice to be with you, all of you.” Mhina said.

“I'm so glad you're here.” Kion said.

“I always love visiting the Pride Lands, and spending time with you.” Mhina said.

He and Kion exchanged a significant glance.

Behind them, Fuli exchanged a glance with Bunga and Beshte.

Suddenly, Zazu appeared at the entrance to the Lair.

“Lion Guard, there's something you should know about.” Zazu said.

“What's up, Zazu?” Kion asked.

“While on my morning inspection flight of the Pride Lands, I noticed two lions at the watering hole border. They don't appear to be a threat.” Zazu said.

Kion exchanged a glance with Mhina and Fuli.

“Come on, let's check it out.” Kion said.

He led the Lion Guard out of the Lair, and they headed into the Pride Lands.

As they headed towards the Watering Hole,  Mhina bounded forward to walk beside Kion.

“Do you think these lions will be a threat, or friendly?” Mhina asked.

“I'm hoping they're friendly. We've been having so much peace lately.” Kion said.

When they reached the Watering Hole, they saw two lions settled down under an acacia tree.

Kion moved forward.

“Who are you? What are you doing here?” Kion asked.

The teenaged lion moved forward, his tail wrapped around the older lion's shoulders.

“My name is Ujuzi. This is my brother, Salim. He's been blind since birth, and my parents entrusted me to look after him when they completed their journey in the Circle of Life three moons ago.” Ujuzi said.

Kion exchanged a glance with Fuli.

“We should take them to Pride Rock.” Fuli said.

“You're right. Mom and Dad will know what to do.”  Kion said.

He glanced at Ujuzi and Salim.

“Come with us. We're going to take you to see my parents, the king and queen.” Kion said.

“Thank you.” Ujuzi said.

Kion began to lead the way to Pride Rock, Fuli, Mhina, Ono, Bunga, Ujuzi, and Salim following, Ujuzi guiding Salim with his tail on his shoulder.

When they reached Pride Rock, they saw Simba, Nala, Zazu, Kovu, Kiara, Gula, Kohana, Ayana, and Makini settled outside the den.

Kion moved forward the Lion Guard, Mhina, Salim, and Ujuzi following.

“Mom, Dad, I've brought visitors for you to meet.” Kion said.

Ujuzi cleared his throat.

“Your majesties, my name is Ujuzi, and this is my brother Salim. My brother and I have been traveling for seasons, searching for a new home, ever since our parents completed their journey in the Circle of Life.” Ujuzi said.

“We'd like the chance to be given shelter, until a new home could be found.” Salim said.

“Of course, both of you are welcome to stay, while my son and his Lion Guard find a new home for you.” Simba said.

“You are welcome to any prey you'd like.” Nala added.

“Thank you, your majesties.” Salim said.

Kion and Mhina exchanged a glance.

“Do you think your dad would give them shelter in Leopon Plains?” Kion asked.

“I'm sure he would.” Mhina said.

He glanced at Zazu.

“Could you go to Leopon Plains, and ask my dad if he would welcome two travelers?” Mhina asked.

“Certainly, Mhina.” Zazu said.

He spread his wings, and flew off.

“I'm certain Ajani will be pleased to welcome them.” Simba said.

“He will be. Dad loves welcoming animals that need help.”  Mhina said.

Behind him, Ayana had approached Fuli.

“Hi Fuli!” Ayana said brightly.

Fuli rubbed a paw against Ayana's cheek.

“Hi Mari.” Fuli said warmly.

“I'm really glad you're here. I missed you.” Ayana said.

Fuli's expression softened.

“I missed you too.” Fuli said.

Kion glanced at Mhina, Ono, Beshte, and Bunga.

“Come on, let's take Salim and Ujuzi to the Lair.” Kion said.

“Can I come too?” Makini asked.

“Sure, Makini. You can come.” Kion said.

He began to lead Mhina, Ono, Beshte, Makini, and Bunga towards the Lair.

Fuli knelt down, and nuzzled Ayana, and followed after Kion.

They entered the Lair, and settled down.

“What's life in Leopon Plains like?” Salim asked.

“It's wonderful. Animals from all over are welcomed to Leopon Plains to be safe from harm.” Mhina said.

“Leopon Plains is beautiful. It's home to every kind of habitat." Makini added.

“It sounds wonderful.” Ujuzi said.

“Yes, and it's not far from here, we have to travel through the Back Lands.” Kion said.

Suddenly, Zazu appeared at the entrance to the Lair.

“Lion Guard, I have news from Ajani.” Zazu said.

Kion and Mhina exchanged a glance.

“What did Dad say?” Mhina asked.

“Ajani says that he's pleased to welcome the brothers to Leopon Plains, for as long as they wished to stay.” Zazu said.

“We'll escort you there.” Kion said.

“I'll go with you, to activate the Moja Kwa Moja stones.” Makini said.

“Poa. That'd be great, Makini.” Beshte said.

Kion glanced at Zazu.

“Can you tell Mom and Dad where we are?” Kion asked.

Zazu nodded.

“Of course.” Zazu said.

“Come on, let's go.” Kion said.

He led Mhina, Fuli, Ono, Beshte, Makini, Salim, Ujuzi, and Bunga into the Pride Lands, and they headed towards the Back Lands border.

“It isn't far to Acacia Woods.” Ono said.

“That's right. We'll be there soon.” Makini said.

Kion began to lead the way to Acacia Woods.

When they arrived, Makini tapped her staff against the stone.

“Ooh. It's so pretty.” Makini said brightly.

“Just one more to go, and then we'd have reached Leopon Plains.” Kion said.

Makini led the way to the waterfall.

When they arrived at the waterfall, Makini moved forward, and tapped her staff against the stone.

Ono cleared his throat.

“The Leopon Plains border with the Back Lands is straight ahead.” Ono said.

“Great job, Ono.” Kion said.

He began to lead the way to the border.

When they arrived, they crossed the border, and entered Leopon Plains.

“Msafiri Forest isn't far from here.” Mhina said.

“Affirmative.” Ono said.

He landed on Beshte's back.

“I can see King Ajani, he's settled underneath an acacia tree, just up ahead.” Ono said.

“What're we waiting for? Let's go.” Bunga said.

They entered Msafiri Forest, and began to head towards Ajani.

Ajani glanced up as Mhina, Fuli, Ono, Beshte, Makini, Salim, Ujuzi, and Bunga approached.

“Zazu already told me about Salim and Ujuzi's predicament. I'm happy to offer shelter.” Ajani said.

“Thank you, your majesty.” Ujuzi said.

“We appreciate it very much.” Salim added.

“You two are welcome in Leopon Plains for as long as you wish to stay.” Ajani said.

Mhina and Kion exchanged a glance.

“Come with me. I want to tell you something.” Mhina said.

He led Kion to the entrance of the Tumaini Pride den.

“What is it, Mhina?” Kion asked.

Mhina glanced down, and shifted his paws.

“There's a feeling I can't hide anymore. It's been growing for a while.” Mhina said.

“What's the feeling?” Kion asked.

“Kion, I have a-“ Mhina began.

Suddenly, Bunga bounded up to them.

“You coming or not, Kion?” Bunga asked.

Kion sighed.

“I'll be right there, Bunga.” Kion said.

He watched as Bunga bounded off.

Mhina cleared his throat awkwardly.

“Well, I'll see you later then. I'll make sure Salim and Ujuzi get settled.” Mhina said.

“See you later, Mhina.” Kion said.

He bounded off towards the Guard and Makini.

As Mhina watched Kion lead the Lion Guard and Makini towards the border, he felt a sharp ache in his chest.

“I'll have the moment to tell Kion how I feel eventually, one way or the other.” Mhina said.
