The Wedding–?

  • (At the Tree of Life, after traveling from the Pride Lands, many animals are attending Kion's coronation and his marriage. Makini is given the honor from Rani to stand next to her. In the crowd stood Simba, Nala, Kiara, Kovu, Sarabi, Zuri, Tiifu, Zazu, Rafiki, Timon, Pumbaa, Ma, Bunga, Fuli, Ono, Beshte, Anga, and a bunch of other animals which includes Jasiri, Janja, Cheezi, Chungu, Ma Tembo and her elephant herd, Twiga, Shingo and her giraffe herd, Pinguino and his penguin rookery, Basi, Sokwe, his sons Majinuni and Hafifu, Shujaa the warrior, Mbeya and his crash. Bupu and his herd, Makuu and his crocodile float, Tangaagim the polar bear alongside his sleuth, Thurston the zebra, Binga, Azaad, Cek and Rama the mountain goats and their flock, Kiril and his herd, Kely and her conspiracy, who sit atop Heng-Heng, Astuto, and Makini's parents Fikiri and Kitendo. Kion ascends through the crowd of gathered herds, comes up to Rani. Very majestically, Tangaagim lifts Kion up before arriving beside the Queen.)
  • Kion: Queen Rani?
  • Rani: Kion. I'm glad the Roar has returned to the Tree of Life again.
  • Kion: This time, to stay.
  • Rani: I'm looking forward to ruling the Tree of Life with you.
  • Kion: We'll rule it together.
  • (Kion steps up towards Makini, where the mandrill then anoints Kion's forehead, drawing a blue-colored v-shape on his head, officially declaring him as the new King.)
  • Simba: (he steps forward from the crowd) Animals of the Pride Lands, we are fortunate to have a great hero among us today. King Kion. As you all know, Kion is a true hero. A brave lion, who always answers the call. When someone needs help, Kion never thinks of himself. He thinks of others, no matter what. And we can all be reminded of his bravery. His strength. And his selflessness. The sacrifice a true hero always makes to help others. And there are few heroes as true as the one we have here. King Kion!
  • Kiara: (Sokwe laughs happily) Yay, Kion!
  • (Simba and Nala look at each other affectionally. Rafiki chuckles in victory as Timon applauds. The elephants blow their trunks and the monkeys screech. Makini walks up to her parents and they embrace her in reunion. Jasiri and Janja smile at each other.)
  • Fuli: Yeah, Kion!
  • Bunga: King Kion! Whoo! (to Binga) My best friend is a king! Un-Bunga-lievable!
  • Binga: Yeah!
  • Pinguino: (talks to Thurston) You know, King Kion, he's as fierce as a penguin.
  • Thurston: Yeah, I taught him all he knows.
  • Kion: We're gonna make a great team.
  • Rani: We already do. Ready?
  • Kion: Yes. I am.
  • (The crowd chants "Long live the king!" in the background. King Kion and Queen Rani both roar together to commemorate their rule. Above them, the spirits of Mufasa, Askari and Janna appear within the clouds, looking on happily.)
  • Chorus: Til we find our place
    On our path unwinding
    In the Circle
    The Circle of Life
    Circle of .... Liiiife
  • Pumbaa: I love moments like this!
  • Timon: Yeah.
  • Timon and Pumbaa: Love! Not like! Love!
  • (Zazu isn't amused. Timon and Pumbaa burst into tears. Zazu shields himself with his wings. Beside Kion and Rani, Makini appears, holding Kion and Rani's newborn cub. She lifts the cub to present him to the crowd. The cub then roars.)
Makiniholdsthenextmonarch-Revisited.png
  • (The title card reads "The End".)
  • Timon (off-screen): Well, enough of that.
  • (Timon holds up a remote control and begins fast-forwarding through "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar". Camera pulls back to show Timon and Pumbaa in silhouette in a row of theater seats, Mystery Science Theater 3000-style.)
  • Pumbaa: Uh– Timon? What are you doin'?
  • Timon: I'm fast-forwarding to the part where we come in.
  • Pumbaa: (aghast) But you can't go out of order!
  • Timon: (Timon clicks the remote. The movie starts playing at the scene in which Bunga, Kion, Pumbaa, Kiara, and Tiifu dance to "Zuka Zama".) Au contraire, my porcine pal. (waggling the remote) I've got the remote!
  • Pumbaa: But everyone's gonna get confused! (grabs a bigger remote) We gotta go back to the beginning of the story. (rewinds the movie)
  • Timon: We're not in the beginning of the story! (Timon pauses the movie on Bunga holding up a baobab fruit, with a monkey screech; the movie begins fast-forwarding again.)
  • Pumbaa: Yes, we were! The whole time. (rewinds; the film reverses on a shot of Zuri looking in bewilderment at Bunga's arrival, with a squawk of confusion.)
  • Timon: Ah! Yeah, but they don't know that. (indicates the audience; switches the movie direction again, on Kion pinning Janja, with a lion-roar sound.)
  • Pumbaa: Then why don't we tell them our story? (Pumbaa pauses the movie on a snarling close-up of Janja; Timon and Pumbaa both shriek and dive under their seats.)
  • Timon: (slowly re-emerging) Hey! I got an idea. Why don't we tell them our story?
  • Pumbaa: Oh, I like the sound of that.
  • Timon: A little backstage tour. Take 'em behind the scenes for revealing an intimate look at the story within the story!
  • Pumbaa: 'Cause what they don't know is how we really were there even though they didn't know we were there, y'know?
  • Timon: Couldn't have said it better myself! (rewinds "The Lion Guard" again)
  • Pumbaa: So does this mean we're going back to the beginning?
  • Timon: (melodramatically) Oh, no, Pumbaa. No. We're going way back– to before the beginning.
  • (The sunrise plays backwards, looking like a sunset; the screen goes black along with African drumbeats; the title "The Lion King: Revisited" crashes onto the screen, followed by "Epilogue", then "An", then "Important", followed by "Coronation" which forms the episode's title card. Cracks appear across the screen image, and the black screen shatters and falls from the field of view in fragments, leaving a view of Pride Rock in daylight.)

Kopa's Return to Pride Rock

  • (Vitani, Shabaha, Kasi, Imara and Tazama are watching the Pride Lands.)
  • Pumbaa: Pride Rock.
  • Timon: So majestic.
  • Pumbaa: So powerful.
  • Timon: So– bizarrely named.
  • (Timon pauses the movie; the silhouettes and the seatbacks appear again.)
When I was a young meerkat.png
  • Timon: Pumbaa, how can a rock be proud? It's a rock!
  • Pumbaa: Well, I think it's because a "pride" is what they call a group of lions.
  • Timon: Oh, sure, the lions get Pride Rock. And what about us meerkats? Where I come from we didn't have nothin' to be proud of. Why, ahem. (singing) When I was a young meerkat–
  • Pumbaa: (singing) When he was a young meerkat–!
  • (Pumbaa blows Timon off his seatback.)
  • Timon: (peevishly) Very nice.
  • Pumbaa: Thanks!
  • Timon: But maybe it'd be safer if I just show 'em where I came from.
  • Pumbaa: Oh, boy! Do we get to see where you grew up?
  • Timon: Yeah, Pumbaa, but it ain't pretty. (clicks the remote; the view of Pride Rock switches to a full-screen shot.) Please remain seated while the camera's in motion.
  • (Several hundred miles away, Kopa comes close to a frozen lake.)
  • Kopa: Creepy.
  • (Step by step, Kopa carefully walks over the ice. Beneath his weight, it begins to crack, Kopa runs across to the other side. He trudges on the canyon floor through the gorge. Cut back to Pride Rock. Vitani, Imara, Shabaha, Tazama and Kasi are lounging in the Lair of the Lion Guard. The den has become overrun with termites.)
  • Vitani: Ugh, termites. Once we're on the rest of the morning's patrol, we'll need to get Muhangus to eat the termites. I'm not okay with them around here.
  • Imara: You're right. They're everywhere.
  • (Shabaha LOUDLY chows down termites on a stick.)
  • Vitani: Ugh. Shabaha! (Shabaha looks up) Please tell me you're done eating.
  • (Shabaha groans in disappointment. Vitani smirks.)
  • Laini (off-screen): Lion Guard! Lion Guard!
  • Galagos: Help!
  • (Laini and her group enter the den, screaming for help. They accidentally knock Kasi over. The other members are extremely surprised.)
  • Galago: Save us! Save us!
  • Vitani: Heyvi kabis–
  • (Vitani leaps onto Vitani's muzzle.)
  • Laini: Please say you'll help us, Lion Guard! Please, oh please, oh please!!
  • Vitani: (muffled)
  • Imara: Hi Laini. What's gotten you and your galagos so upset?
  • Laini: Oh, nothing. Just that a lion moved into our tree. And he wants to eat us! So will you help us, Lion GUard, huh? (to Vitani) Speak up!
  • Vitani: *muffled*
  • Laini: Oh. Sorry. (climbs onto Vitani's head)
  • Vitani: (sighs) Of course we'll help you. We'd never let a lion eat you guys.
  • (Exiting the Lair of the Lion Guard, Imara looks further towards the Pride Lands. She hears a distant cry.)
  • Imara: Vitani, we have to go. Now!
  • Vitani: Laini, stay here. We'll chase the lion off. You would be more safe here in the Lair. Sounds good?
  • Laini: We were hoping we could stay with you. Nothing can hurt us if we're with the Lion Guard!
  • Vitani: (thinks) You've got to be quiet.
  • Laini: Okay.
  • Vitani: Till the Pride Lands end–
  • Vitani, Imara, Shabaha, Kasi and Tazama: Lion Guard defend!
  • (We cut to Ndefu Grove. Kopa is seen sleeping in one of the galagos' trees. He seems to be dreaming. We see the Lion Guard, Laini and her group watching behind some bushes.)
  • Laini: Be careful, Vitani. The lion is fierce. Really fierce!
  • Vitani: Don't worry, so am I.
  • (Laini and the other galagos hide in the bushes. The Lion Guard surround the tree. Suddenly Kopa awakens. He is extremely aggressive, growling at each of them. )
  • Kopa: Lions who listen to the chattering of monkeys will never learn to roar.
  • (A short duel begins between Kopa and Vitani and Imara.)
  • Kasi: (charges past Kopa) Haraka, haraka!
  • Kopa: Come on, let's race there!
  • (Kopa attempts to overtake Kasi but comes face-to-face with Shabaha.)
  • Shabaha: Bila hofu!
  • Kopa: *grunts*
  • (Shabaha headbutts Kopa to the ground as he collapses.)
  • Vitani: Imara?
  • Imara: Musuli!
  • (Imara pushes Kopa sliding across towards Vitani's paws. She looks crossly at him, and is suspicious about Kopa. Timon pauses the movie.)
  • Pumbaa (off-screen): You know, first impressions are very important.
  • Timon (off-screen): Oh, I thought you were a scream.
  • (The episode resumes.)
  • Vitani: Lion, who are you?
  • Kopa: Hi, I'm sorry. (gets up and sits with confusion) Who are you?
  • Vitani: I'm Vitani. Leader of the Lion Guard.
  • Kopa: The Lion Guard?
  • Vitani: We protect everyone at the Pride Lands from those who cause harm. Like you.
  • Kopa: I'm Kopa. I'm a prince. And I'm not scared of anything. Not even you. (Kopa attempts to pounce on Vitani, but she moves aside) Why couldn't lions like us become friends too?
  • Vitani: It's my duty for the king to leave things for us on you. Leave the Pride Lands now, Kopa, and never return.
  • Kopa: Of course. Your majesty! (Kopa then turns around and pounces on Vitani).
  • (Vitani and Kopa then begin to circle each other. Watching this are Laini's group and Vitani's Lion Guard.)
  • Laini: A-are... Are they going to fight?
  • Imara: Looks like it.
  • Kopa: (finally backs down) Fine. I'll go. But never forget this, I was abandoned. I am... the prince. I am.
  • Imara: (realizes) It's him.
  • Vitani: It's who?
  • Imara: Kopa! The lost prince of Pride Rock?
  • Kopa: Yes. I have come from a far land with an urgent message.
  • Laini: Don't believe him! He stole our tree!
  • Kopa (chuckling) You, have this tree. I didn't like it.
  • Vitani: Come with us. Kopa. Come home. We'll have a talk.
  • (We see the Lion Guard and Kopa depart, the galagos rush back to their tree. Cut to inside to the Lair of the Lion Guard. Kopa, Vitani and the Lion Guard are settled inside.)
  • Vitani: So. She survived. No lion like my mother could make it like that. Where is she now?
  • Kopa: She's hidden in the elephant graveyard. She's plotted her revenge. She has rallied Makucha the leopard and his army. Queen Rani has set out to defeat her, so far none who ever have gone, have returned.
  • Imara: Then we must defeat her. It would mean the end of us.
  • Vitani: I warned the Pride Landers for this. They need their homes secured. Especially Kilio Valley. I'm voting you team leader, Kopa. Show us your skills of hunting.
  • Kopa: Of course! That is great!
  • (Moments later, Kopa and the Lion Guard enter the elephant graveyard. A familiar shadow hovers over them.)
  • Kopa: This creeps it out. Yet a lovely, rustic, picturesque home.
  • (In a matter of seconds, leopards and snakes emerge from the skulls. They attack the six lions.)
  • Vitani: Kopa!
  • (Vitani gets attacked by a leopard. The screen switches suddenly to a commercial advertisement. Timon and Pumbaa are back in the silhouetted theater seats.)
  • Timon: Hey! What's going on? Pumbaa, you're sitting on the remote!
  • Pumbaa: Huh? Oh, sorry. I thought it was a brownie.
  • (Pumbaa clicks the remote. Suddenly, Zira appears. The Lion Guard gasp, Kopa watches back to defend Vitani.)
  • Kopa: Zira ...
  • Zira: Kopa, son of Simba. The lost prince of Pride Rock has come. With my daughter no less. Now, not only will you die. But she will die as well. And so will her little friends, the Pride Lands will have no protection.
  • Kopa: Never. You will never kill her. Nor the Lion Guard. Not you, nor anybody has that power.
  • Zira (she laughs) Strong words for a coward.
  • Imara: Kopa, what is she talking about?
  • Zira: Ah, so you haven't told your little friends. You told them only about my return. Pathetic lion! Foolish lion! You had the chance to save the Pride Lands. But, you let us win. You let us defeat you. You ran away, you didn't fight us. You have left all to die. You don't care about them. Let Vitani and her company hear. You are a traitor to all lions. Good or (mockingly) evil!
  • (Suddenly, Zira pounces on Vitani. Before her Lion Guard can react, leopards pounce on each of them.)
  • Vitani: Kopa! Help!
  • (We see Kopa, who is in tears. Zira smiles.)
  • Kopa: No ... no ... NO!!!
  • (In tears; Kopa runs away. As he runs we see the rest of the Guard; with leopards still attacking them, trying to save Vitani.)

The Tree of Life

To be started.

  • (From a brief flashback of a younger Kion aiding a butterfly, we dissolve to Rani and Baliyo among some butterflies.)
  • Rani: Defending the Tree of Life is our job.
  • Baliyo: You should probably take her offer.

More to be added.

  • (We see a montage of the Tree of Life: Surak and Nirmala aid a baby goat, Bunga and Binga interacting with Kely, some other lemurs and Heng-Heng, Ono leading Kion on a patrol and Anga observing the sky. Then, at the Pride Lands, when see Simba and Nala looking on to the Pride Lands, with Zazu flying past them.)

The Famine Strikes Back

TWO

YEARS

LATER
  • Zazu: Hmm. Very original solution.
  • (A session is taking place with Kiara and seven other unnamed Pride Landers.)
  • Kiara: You know I have to be back soon. It's the first time I'm presiding over the proposal between the Outlanders. My mom and dad won't be there. It's just me. I've got a plan. We're gonna make a stepping stone path to shore to the Tree of Life. All we need is a few big stones.
  • Mongoose: Yeah.
  • Kiara: I don't know what the Pride Lands would do without the Lion Guard. But there are more important things than how you look.
  • Serval: Oh, I see what you mean. Thanks, Kiara.
  • (Timon and Ono seek Kiara.)
  • Ono: Your Majesty.
  • Timon: Princess?
  • Kiara: Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a royal duty to perform.

  • (Thurston halts from the avalanche and accidentally flings Pinguino near a ledge)
  • Pinguino: (barely balancing) Whooaaah!
  • Thurston: Oh, my! I'm a member of the Lion Guard. What a good idea.
  • (Thurston gallops forward and grabs Pinguino in his teeth and preventing the fall)
  • Thurston: Yes! Fabulous. Hey, it worked.
  • Pinguino: What happened? Poa? You saved me?
  • Thurston: Yes, I did. I heard Beshte say it to you. And everyone knows zebras have the best hearing in the Pride Lands.
  • Pinguino: Except you're not Poa the Destroyer. You saved my life. You are Poa the Life Saver! Thank you, thank you so much, Poa!
  • Thurston: Well, I suppose it's only fitting.

More to be added.

  • (The movie pauses just as Simba reaches the camera. Timon begins narrating.)
  • Timon: Who knows why fate led us to little Simba that day? (scene switches, slide-show style, to Simba as a cub roaring in the jungle, Timon leaping up in terror.) Maybe it was just my love of adventure... (stills show more scenes of Simba terrifying the fur off Timon) or my innate courage– (stills show Nala, Kiara, Tiifu, Zuri, Jasiri, Anga, and Fuli) –my valiant and fearless way of– okay, who's in charge of the freeze-frames?! (freeze on Makini doing a freakish wild-take in the Outlands)
  • Pumbaa: Sorry.
  • Timon: Anywho–

Occupation of Kilio Valley

To be started.

  • Reirei: You hyenas?! You couldn't find your own tails without us!
  • Chungu: Why? Where'd they go??

More to be added.

Pumbaa's Dream Home

To be started.

  • Timon: Lemme get this straight: you know her, she knows you, everybody knows you! What's goin' on here?!
  • Pumbaa: Timon, this is my old sounder. The one from which I was banished.

More to be added.

  • Pumbaa: See, Timon? A giant panda.
  • Timon: (sees Heng-Heng) Ohh! He's a big panda! He's not gonna eat us, is he?
  • Pumbaa: No. Many years ago, pandas ate both meat and plants. But in their environment it was easier to find a plant called "bamboo", than it was to find meat.
  • Timon: So, why'd they all just switch over to the bamboo buffet?
  • Pumbaa: You can't just just make yourself adapt. The pandas that ate the bamboo did better than the meat eaters. So, with each generation, there were more bamboo eaters. And there isn't any bamboo growing in the desert. So, the pandas live here.
  • Timon: Now, they're completely adapted to living in the bamboo, right?
  • (Heng-Heng stuffs Timon into her mouth, and chews.)
  • Timon: Aahh!! I am not bamboo!
  • (Heng-Heng spits the meerkat out, now covered with saliva.)
  • Timon: Waaaah! Oy!

More to be added.

  • Goigoi: Reirei, look!
  • (Goigoi and Reirei peak down in their watering hole. There, they see a group of koi fish swimming slowly.)
  • Goigoi: Whoa! What are they?
  • Reirei: Goigoi, you good for nothin'! They're sorta fishes. Fishes swimmin' in our own watering hole, but they sure do taste good.
  • Ono: Actually, these aren't ordinary fish. They're koi fish! Koi fish live in many lakes, common knowledge, really. But I didn't realize they moved into the Outlands.

More to be added.

  • (Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon relax in the bubbling hot-tub pool.)
  • Pumbaa: So you see, that's why they call it a "dung beetle".
  • Simba: Eww. You don't say. And yet, still so tasty!
  • Pumbaa: Oh, yeah. And they're my favorite.
  • Timon: At last. A movie about our story.
  • Pumbaa: Yep. After a long day of movie-making, it's good to kick back.
  • Simba: I never thought Hakuna Matata could be so sweet.
  • All three: (sighing contentedly) Aahhh.
  • (They relax silently for a beat.)
  • Pumbaa: Think I'll turn in for the night.
  • (Pumbaa slowly climbs out. The bubbles immediately stop. The "hakuna matata" music plays as realization dawns on Simba and Timon, watching Pumbaa's retreating rump. They stare at the water in horror.)
  • Timon: I'm out.
  • Simba: Right behind you.

More to be added.

  • (Epiphany music plays, hinting at the inevitable "Hakuna Matata" song. Wipe to the Royal Family, Jasiri, Reirei, Goigoi, Timon and Pumbaa preparing for their journey. As they stare into the distance, the movie pauses.)
  • Pumbaa: (offscreen) Hey, Timon. I got an idea. Let's do a sing-along!
  • Timon: Oh, you tease. (a ladybug appears on-screen, near the words Hakuna Matata which appear at the bottom) I love karaoke! I'm there.
  • (As the lyrics appear on the screen, over a montage of the team travelling through the desert while Timon and Pumbaa enjoy its carefree style, the ladybug hops from syllable to syllable as they sing the words.)
  • Both: Hakuna Matata!
    What a wonderful phrase
    Hakuna Matata!
    Ain't no passin' craze
  • (The ladybug disappears after dancing across "CRAZE".)
  • Timon: It means no worries, for the rest of your day– Wait a second.
  • (Camera pulls back to show the silhouettes. Timon is singing into a microphone; Pumbaa is chewing and crunching on something. Timon pauses the movie.)
  • Timon: (quietly) Pumbaa– where's the grub?
  • Pumbaa: Puhh. (opens his mouth; the ladybug staggers out, all mauled up)
  • Timon: (exasperated) Ohhh. You just can't help yourself, can you?
  • Pumbaa: Sorry.
  • Timon: Okay– but this time, show a little self control.
  • (Timon resumes the movie. The bug is now staggering across the words and getting bounced around by the pair's on-screen further antics.)
  • Timon: Hakuna Matata! Ha-haah! (both scream as they bungee-jump)
  • Both: It means no worries
For the rest of your days
    It's our problem-free philosophy
    Hakuna Matata!
    Hakuna Matata
    Hakuna Matata
    Hakuna Matata
    Hakuna Matata
    Hakuna Matata
    Hakuna Matata
    Hakuna Matata–

  • Ono: Rafiki? Rafiki! Oh, please be home, please be home. Rafiki?!
  • Makini: (appearing upside-down, hanging from a tree) Oh, hi, Ono! Rafiki's gone for the day. I'm watching his tree. Well, I'm not really watching it, I'm more like...
  • (Cut back to the theater seats and silhouettes; Timon pauses the movie.)
Enter omniscient monkey, right on cue.png
  • Timon: How convenient. Enter omniscient monkey, right on cue.
  • Pumbaa: Well, you know what they say. When the student is ready, the teacher appears.
  • Timon: That's it. No more fortune cookies for you!
  • (Timon clicks the remote; the movie resumes.)

The Origins of Askari

  • Pumbaa: (shocked) You really think I look fat?
  • Timon: Uhh, Pumbaa, Pumbaa, Pumbaa. You're a pig. It's a compliment!
  • Pumbaa: (mollified) Oh-ho-ho. Thank you!
  • (Pumbaa resumes the movie.)

More to be added.

  • (Suddenly the movie pauses - the music winds down like on a record player - and switches back to the theater seats, where Timon is hunched over and sobbing.)
  • Pumbaa: (shocked) Timon? Are you crying?
  • Timon: (sobbing) I'm fine! I-I just have something in my eye.
  • Pumbaa: (holding out a hanky) Here, blow.
  • Timon: Ohh. (blows his nose; hands the hanky back) Here, Pumbaa.
  • Pumbaa: (sarcastically) Gee, thanks.
  • Timon: (getting a hold of himself) Okay. I'm better.

  • (Cut to a snail in silhouette in the jungle; the theme from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" plays. The sun creates a lens-flare wash to Binga and Bunga facing off over a monstrous pile of snails. They narrow their eyes at each other in turn; then both flex their hands like gunslingers.)
  • Pumbaa: (cowering in the bushes) I don't think this is such a good idea.
  • (Binga grabs a snail and slurps it straight out of its shell, leaving slime all over her chin. She slams the shell down and leers at Bunga, who yawns theatrically, then slurps down a snail of his own and folds his arms defiantly. Binga raises a hand with four snails, which she slurps down rapid-fire one after the other, then tosses the shells down and grins devilishly. Bunga stares back in amazement, his eye twitching; then he swallows four of his own, swats away the shells, and grins a trifle insanely, breathing hard. Cut to Pumbaa in the bushes, looking at one and then the other like in a tennis match, as we hear slurps from one side and then the other in rapid succession. Finally he sinks down in trepidation, and the camera switches back to Binga and Bunga slumped against opposite ends of the rock, only one snail left in front of each of them. In extreme perspective, Binga reaches for the last one, groans and shudders, then slurps it down; she belches loudly, then tosses the shell away with a drunken smirk. Bunga picks up his last one, his belly bulging out over the edge of the rock; the snail in his hands morphs into Pumbaa, staring back at him.)
  • Pumbaa/Snail: I told you this wasn't such a good idea!
  • (Bunga suddenly gags, covers his mouth, totters, and collapses; the snail shell flies up into the air, lands, clatters to a halt, and the snail inside pops out and scoots away. The camera trucks back vertically away from Bunga, passed out and bloated on the ground next to the pile of shells.)
  • Pumbaa: (narrating) Thus did the pupil surpass the teacher.
  • Timon: You've been hangin' around with the monkey again, haven't you?

More to be added.

  • Thurston: WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
  • Pinguino: Waaaaaaaahhhhhh!
  • (Right in the middle of the attack, Pumbaa pauses the movie; back to the silhouettes.)
No, I had an itch on the inside.png
  • Pumbaa: You mind if I pause it for a second?
  • Timon: Sure, go ahead.
  • Pumbaa: Be right back!
  • (Timon cracks his neck one way and then the other, grunting. As Pumbaa clatters off-screen, Timon scratches in his ear, sniffs, hums "It's a Small World After All", and casually picks his nose.)
  • Timon: It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
    It's a small, small world
    Everybody
It's a small world after all
Da da da da da da da
  • (Just as the sound of a popcorn popper comes to a stop, Timon pulls out a big booger, which squishes between his fingertips. He gasps as he realizes Pumbaa is coming back. He frantically looks for a tissue; seeing none, he tries to shake it off his hand, then to flick it off. Finally he wipes it on the seat just as Pumbaa returns, with a huge bag of bugs.)
  • Pumbaa: Okay, I got the jumbo so we could share. (pauses for a beat, realizing Timon is just sitting there stock-still) Were you just picking your nose?
  • Timon: (indignantly) Nooo, I had an itch on the inside! (he grabs some bugs and chows down, then clicks the remote)

Battle for the Tree of Life

  • (Cut to Varya, Surak, Baliyo, and Nirmala entering the Tree.)
  • Surak: Queen Rani. We have trouble.
  • Baliyo: Sis? You here?
  • Rani: Night Pride. Kion is gathering the rest of the Lion Guard–
  • (The Night Pride hear something outside.)
  • Nirmala: What was that?
  • Surak: (alerted) I hope it's not what it sounds like. Come on. Hurry!
  • (Varya, Rani, Surak, Baliyo, and Nirmala rush towards the Tree's entrance, but a boulder provokes their exit.)
  • Nirmala: (gasps) We're trapped!
  • Baliyo: How did the bad guys get past us?
  • Surak: Nothing good.
  • (It is revealed that Ushari, Ora, and Makucha blocked the Tree's entrance with a boulder.)
  • Ushari: Thanksss. I just want to be on the winning ssside.
  • Makucha: Yep. Now we don't have to worry about the Night Pride.
  • (Simba staggeredly tries to get up.)
  • Scar: You fools have stripped your land of every living thing. Kion and Simba have always shown too much restraint when it comes to hunting. When I am king, the mighty will be free to take whatever they want. (to Zira) Where everything the light touches, is yours for the kill.
  • (Scar and Zira's entire army is summoned to the ground which include Ushari, Makucha, Mama Binturong, Chulunn, Ora, Smun, Jiona, Fahari, Sumu, Ora's bank, and Smun's prickle. Upon seeing the army descending on the Tree of Life, Simba slowly gets back to his feet. With a fierce determination, he stands against Scar's giant army alone. Suddenly, a crackling comes in from the distance.)
  • Hadithi: So will you join us? King Simba. Are we together?
  • (Three figures step forward: Rafiki, Tiifu, and Zuri. Hadithi and Zazu fly in from above. Azaad descends in. He is joined by Binga, Bunga, Kion, and Kovu. Simba watches in awe as more herds arrive. Among the throngs of heroes, we see Sarabi, Beshte, Makini, Kifaru, Mbeya, Vitani, Imara, Reirei, Goigoi, Kiburi, Tamka, Janja, Cheezi, Chungu, Madoa, Mzingo, Anga, Ma Tembo, Bupu, Boboka, Makuu, Twiga, Basi, Laini, Ma, Iron Joe, Dogo, Kijana, Nduli, their brothers, and Mwoga. Thurston emerges from the rubble of the Chamber of the Night Pride with Timon, Pinguino and Ono. Simba's pride, Kion's Night Pride, Pumbaa's sounder, Timon's colony, Rafiki, Makini, Imara, Vitani, Azaad, Binga, the Pride Landers, Jasiri's clan, Reirei's pack, Kiburi's float, and Mzingo's parliament take up battle positions.)
  • Simba: Till the Pride Lands end.
  • Kiara: Lion Guard defend.
  • (Pumbaa makes a battle cry, as does Rafiki and the heroes charge, Timon screams with their stride.)
Battle for the Tree of Life.png
  • (Both sides collide as Nala headbutts Mama Binturong.)
  • Shujaa: (throwing a boulder at Smun's prickle) RRAAAGGHH!!
  • (When Kifaru is harmed by Ora, Bunga attacks the Komodo dragon. Ma rides on Sarabi, who battles against some komodo dragons.)
  • Ma: Now it's Ma's time to shine!
  • (Nala teams up with Ono. Simba is ambushed by Ora, but he is saved by Kovu. Kovu knocks Ora to the ground. Simba checks on him.)
  • Simba: Kovu, I was wrong. You belong here.
  • (Simba embraces Kovu.)
  • Kovu: Oh, this is nice.
Aw, you big lug.png
  • (Camera trucks out to show the silhouettes; Timon pauses the movie.)
  • Timon: What was with the running? If you can call that "running".
  • Pumbaa: I was giving you time to catch up.
  • Timon: (choked up) Aw, you big lug. (Timon reaches out to Pumbaa's shoulder; they embrace, and Timon resumes the movie)
  • (Jiona and Fahari chase Timon and Pumbaa. As Pumbaa tries to run faster, Timon easily passes by him. Kion pounces on the two leopards. However, he is ambushed by more leopards. Fuli saves him.)
  • (From the sky, Hadithi, Zazu, Mzingo, Mwoga and Anga charge down onto a group of snakes.)
  • Mzingo: Reconvene! Reconvene!
  • Hadithi: Green bee-eaters! Help Ono!
  • (A flock of green bee-eaters peck on the snakes' heads. Ono is free to hit them. When Kiara is being chased by a gorilla, Hadithi proceeds to fly in, and knocks down the gorilla onto its back, before stabbing it with his claws.)
  • Fuli: Anga? Where's the Night Pride?
  • Anga: I'll take a look. (hovers towards the sky, using her keen sight) Uh-oh. If they're in the Tree, they're trapped.
  • Fuli: Find Beshte. We need to move that rock.
  • Anga: Yep.
  • (Kiara rushes through Makucha's army, before finding herself surrounded. She is saved by Rafiki.)
  • Rafiki: Give it to me!
  • (Kiara gives the Tree of Life's Royal Mjuzi's staff to Rafiki, and he runs towards the Tree of Life while fighting lionesses and striped hyenas. Eventually he is stopped by Scar. When he charges Rafiki, Scar is stopped by Vitani, who is filled with anger. Vitani holds back Scar by repeatedly smacking him in the face. Rafiki is stopped in his tracks by Ushari, but Kovu arrives to fight off Ushari's group of snakes that are advancing towards him.)
  • Kovu: The bet's off, but you owe me something.
  • (Kovu sharpens his claws. He scratches the snakes, spinning 540 degrees. Inside the Tree of Life, the Night Pride attempt to push the rock. The boulder, however, is slowly moving on its own.)
  • Baliyo: (thrilled) Hey. It's moving.
  • Beshte: Twende– ki– boko!
  • (Outside, it is shown that Beshte is attempting to move the rock.)

More to be added.

  • (Cut to Simba regrouping with the Unity of the Tree of Life: Kion, Nala, Kiara, Kovu, Sarabi, Tiifu, Zuri, Vitani, Imara, Kasi, Tazama, Shabaha, Rani, Surak, Baliyo, Nirmala, Rafiki, Timon, Pumbaa, Bunga, Ono, Beshte, Anga, Makini, Jasiri, Madoa, Janja, Cheezi, Chungu, Mzingo, Mwoga, Kiburi, Tamka, Nduli, Reirei, Goigoi, Ma Tembo, Zito, Johari, Zazu, Basi, Bupu, Boboka, Laini, Makuu, Thurston, Pinguino, Kifaru, Mbeya, Azaad, Binga, Ma, Hadithi, and Fuli.)
  • Mzingo: You could usher in a new day of peace for the Pride Lands.
  • Simba: Correct, we are the powerful force that Scar cannot face alone, and weaken his followers.
  • Kiara: The Tree of Life's animals need to get back where they belong!
  • Tiifu: But your our best friend, Kiara. We can never leave you.
  • Pumbaa: Not everyone has to.
  • Bunga: That plan sounds weird.
  • Kiburi: Fine, but the crocodile way is to defend her.
  • Rafiki: (turns to Binga and Bunga) Thank you for embracing my inner warrior.
  • Zazu: Charming. Simba, Kion. We're with you until the end.
  • Ma Tembo: I look forward to having our land back.
  • Pumbaa: Peace of cake, yet satisfying.
  • Thurston: Huzzah. What a great idea.
  • (They hear lightning striking the Tree of Life.)
  • Timon: Oh, boy.
  • Pumbaa: See the buildup of static charge at the bottom of that thunder cloud?
  • Timon: Yeah?
  • Pumbaa: Ooh, when it gets big enough, it's gonna find its way to the ground in the form of– lightning.
  • Reirei: No justice for jackals, I guess.
  • Kion: Okay, here's the plan. Beshte, Bunga, Binga and Azaad with Ma Tembo, Bupu, and the rhinos. Mom, Laini, and Imara with Twiga, Makuu, Kasi, Tazama, Shabaha, Jasiri's clan, and Kiburi's crocodiles. Hadithi, help Anga, Ono, Zazu, Mwoga and Mzingo clear a path in the sky. Basi, Timon, and Pumbaa, help Ma and the jackals put out the fires. Rafiki and Makini, defend Grandmother, Kiara, Kovu, Tiifu, and Zuri until Dad reaches Scar. Vitani, we'll take on Zira and Ushari. It's why I brought you all together.
  • Vitani: You got it.
  • Hadithi: High-flying heroes! Follow me!
  • (Hadithi, Anga, Ono, Zazu, and Mzingo take to the skies.)
  • Rani: What about the Night Pride? Anyone who's willing to put their friend's well-being before their own is worthy as well.
  • Basi: Kion. Scar might have better technique, but we're too strong and fit for him. We must hold the line.
  • Kion: (realizes) Then that's what we'll do, Rani. Surak, Baliyo, Nirmala. Let Thurston and Pinguino protect the rest of the herds. Please?
  • Surak: Understood.
  • Baliyo: Sure.
  • Nirmala: Of course.
  • (Everyone resumes their positions, ready to attack.)
  • Simba: Everyone ready?!
  • Timon: Yeah!!
  • Simba: Now!!!
  • (They charge. Dissolve to where the quartet lines up, seen from above and in this order: Nala, Simba, Kiara, Kovu, Kion, Rani, Tiifu, Imara, Vitani, Sarabi, Zuri, Nirmala, Baliyo, Surak, Varya, Bunga, Binga, Pinguino, Pumbaa, Fuli, Azaad, Jasiri, Janja, Reirei, Goigoi, Cheezi, Chungu, Madoa, Bupu, Thurston, Boboka, Kiburi, Makuu, Tamka, Beshte, Basi, Mbeya, Kifaru, Ma Tembo, Twiga, Anga, Hadithi, Ono, Mzingo, Laini, Timon, and Ma. As before, the heroes split up. Timon's colony comes face-to-face with Chuluun. The cunning snow leopard pursues on them. They flee.)
  • Meerkats: *scream* Run!
  • (Mama Binturong approaches Basi, Timon, Ma, Pumbaa, and the jackals. She pounces on Basi. The two engage in conflict. However, just before Mama can knock Basi out, Pumbaa flings Timon. He angrily screams as he pushes Mama away. Now, the group struggle to put out a brush fire.)
  • Basi: There we go!
  • Ma: Ohhh! This is nice!
  • Timon: (sheepishly) Thanks, Ma.
  • (From a distance, Anga, Hadithi, Zazu, Ono, Mwoga, and Mzingo watch.)
  • Zazu: Hmm. Very original solution.
  • Ono: Wait a tick. Reirei's jackals! They're about to be attacked by porcupines!
  • Anga: We'll see about that.
  • Hadithi: Green bee-eaters. Follow us.
  • (Ono drops small pebbles at Smun's prickle, which scares them off.)

  • Goigoi: I told ya those sharp varmints was mean!
  • Reirei: (to her pack) Jackals! Skedaddle!!

More to be added.

  • Boboka: Does that mean Scar?

  • Askari: You've already made great progress.

  • Mufasa: The sun will rise with you as the king.
  • Askari: Soon, you will learn everything the Roar can do.
  • Mufasa: It will be your great responsibility to protect.
  • Askari: Control your emotions. Master your skills.
  • Mufasa: Remember who you are, you are my son, and the one true king.
  • Askari:' You are ready. It's time.
  • (Suddenly, Simba seems to rise. Scar now seems small and weak compared to Simba. Not actually bigger, but a large presence. Scar tries to win back the favor of his army to Simba.)
  • Scar: (last words) No, let me explain. I was trying to fool them. We will rule together!
  • Simba: No, Scar. This is not open land. It belonged to the Night Pride. Who have lived here since the first sunrise on the plain.

More to be added.

  • Baliyo: What just happened?
  • Surak: I'm not sure. But I think we won.

Simba's Death

  • (At Pride Rock, Kiara, Kovu, Kion and Rani wait outside. They are turned away from the den. There faces are clearly saddened. Kion is comforted by Rani, much as Kovu comforts Kiara. Behind them, Rafiki appears.)
  • Kiara: Rafiki?
  • Rafiki [pointing towards Pride Rock's den. Sad, solemn] It is time ...
  • (Rafiki leads Kiara, Kovu, Kion and Rani into the den. Simba lays down. He is clearly weekend. Nala, Sarabi, Vitani and her Lion Guard, Kopa, Timon, Pumbaa, Ma and Zazu surround him.)
  • Nala: Kiara, Your father is very weak. Scar has made him ... quite ill.
  • (Beside Simba, Timon and Pumbaa comfort him. Rafiki continues to mix remedies for Simba.)
  • Timon: It's okay. It's okay.
  • Pumbaa: Oh! Say it ain't so!
  • Zazu: [noticing Kion and Kiara] It can't be!
  • (Nala then leads Kiara and Kion towards Simba. Kion nuzzles him.)
  • Simba: Kion. We must all be reminded of your braveries. Yo never thought of yourself.
  • Nala: [to Simba] Kiara's here too.
  • (Zazu sighs. Ma embraces Timon. Imara and Vitani nuzzle. Kopa turns away. Sarabi has tears in her eyes.)
  • Simba: You will queen and you will understand. Kiara, my heir. You and Kovu will be Queen and King.
  • Kovu: [to Kopa] This is nice.
  • Sarabi: His time has come.
  • Kiara: [in tears] Dad. You can't just go!
  • Simba: Kiara, I won't go. I will always be here, I live in you.
  • (Suddenly, Simba stops breathing. He has passed away. Kiara gasps. Kion bursts into tears. Nala and Sarabi, alongside Imara and Vitani nuzzle. Zazu sighs in sadness. Pumbaa has tears in his eyes. Ma comforts Timon.)

My father has left us, but he will continue to lives within us. (heartbroken) I ask you all to join us, in saying farewell to my father and for my coronation, with a heavy heart.

  • Pumbaa: (whimpering) It's over already?
  • Timon: Well, Pumbaa. That's the thing about endings. They come at the end.
  • Pumbaa: (brightening) Ooh, can we watch it again?
  • Timon: Pumbaa, we just saw it. Maybe tomorrow.
  • Ma: (enters in silhouette) Hey, what are you guys doing? (gasps as she sees the screen) You didn't tell me you were watching the movie! I wanna watch too!
  • Timon: Ma, we just finished. Show's over.

  • (Timon's row has Terk, Dumbo, Brer Bear, Mowgli, Baloo, the three gargoyles, and the three fairy godmothers from "Sleeping Beauty"; Terk and Victor the gargoyle squeeze together, and Timon squirts out from between them like a watermelon seed. He lands next to Pumbaa as the movie, still rewinding, nears the beginning.)
  • Timon: (resigned) Okay, buddy. You win.
  • Pumbaa: Sure you don't mind?
  • Timon: (sincere) Hakuna Matata.
