The Elephant Graveyard is a barren wasteland filled with the remains of elephants. It is the former homeland of Shenzi's Clan and is located on the far outskirts of the Outlands.

Description[]

The Elephant Graveyard is a lifeless wasteland with chalky soil and cliffs ranging from gray and brown to red in color. The skulls, carcasses, and bones of long-deceased elephants are everywhere in the territory, sticking out of the ground or being exposed in plain sight. The graveyard also contains steam vents and tall cliffs with narrow ledges.

History[]

Prior to Legends of the Lion Guard[]

When Simba and Nala were cubs, they made it past Zazu to reach the Elephant Graveyard, surrounded by elephant skulls, bones, and old geysers. They took a look around before they went inside the biggest elephant skull, and Zazu came to stop them. He told them the Elephant Graveyard was too dangerous, but Simba laughed about it, scoffing at the hornbill's claim. When three hyenasShenziBanzai, and Ed, came and surrounded them, desiring the cubs as their next meal, they chased Simba and Nala around the Elephant Graveyard and trapped them against a cliff wall. Simba tried to roar to protect Nala, but it was feeble and only made the hyenas close in on the cubs. Simba then gave a louder, more horrifying roar, which was then revealed to belong to his father, Mufasa, who came to rescue the cubs. He was swift to defeat Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed, warning them to never go near his son again, causing them to flee. He was disappointed that his son disobeyed him and took him and Nala back home to the Prie Lands. Later, Scar would use the Elephant Graveyard to rally the hyenas into helping him murder his brother, leading to his performance of Be Prepared.
