The Lion Guard: EBA's Fanon (AKA: EBA's Fanon) is a continuation of The Lion Guard. It's User:EBAlarms's primary series, which when finished will contain a total of 10 episodes. This series is canon to EBA's Universe.
Important Notice[]
EBA's Fanon is being renovated! Multiple flaws in the story's logic were identified and so the story will be rewritten.
What's Changing?[]
The changes below include the changes planned for the first major rewrite which never completed, along with the changes for the second rewrite.
- EBA's Fanon will shrink to 10 episodes (instead of 25).
- All episodes will be rewritten.
- Episodes 4 and 5 are unnamed, but will contain the births of Habari and Kijani respectively.
- Episode 8 is unnamed, but will continue Kion's recovery, and show Rani returning leadership of the Guard to Kion.
- Bhaaloo will NOT burn the Tree of Life. He will return with the rest of the group after it does burn down by natural causes.
- The series will be given a proper name.
- Several characters will be renamed to avoid incorrect meanings or overused/basic names. For example, Rabaha/Masika will become Kijani.
- ALL artwork pertaining to this series will be redone.
- An animated version of this series MAY become available. That will take a LOT of time and effort, so it likely won't be soon, if ever.
In A Nutshell[]
EBA's Fanon acts as a fourth season to The Lion Guard. In this series, a new story surrounding Kion's long lost brother Kopa. Plus the introduction to a new antagonist, an antagonist who knows what he's doing! The Circle of Life also continues, some good, some bad!

Information[]
EBA's Fanon has 10 episodes. At the moment, these episodes will just be transcripts, though I may (key word: may) attempt to animate them in the future.
EBA's Fanon was originally created with the intention that it would become a realistic example of what Disney may produce if they created a 4th season of TLG. Due to lack of ideas however, the project has since slightly shifted direction. Regardless, it's still not deviating too far from what Disney would actually do.
EBA's Fanon doesn't mess with the canon. For example, I will not be "undoing" anything from Season 3. I won't be splitting up Kion and Rani, nor will I be making Janja the bad guy again. Now, don't get me wrong. If your fanfictions contain those events, that does not make them bad at all. All I am saying is that those events won't be in EBA's Fanon.
The reason I started this project is because I believe Ford Riley made a mistake at the end of the series. Simply put, he ruined the message that has been built up since Return of the Roar. A message about the diversity, about what others feel you are capable of. Kion's guard included many different animals. King Simba didn't think it was possible for non-lions to actually defend the Pride Lands. He was proven wrong... almost. During the series finale, Kion declared Vitani's (all-lion) Lion Guard the best guard. I created EBA's Fanon to fix this issue.
This project has changed drastically since it was initially planned in early March of 2023. Originally, this "4th season" was going to contain 15 episodes and go alongside a movie, which was planned to be named "The Lion King 4: The Next Generation" (keep in mind, this name was thought BEFORE I joined Fanon). Why 4? Because Disney is stupid and decided "The Lion King 1½" should be named "The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata" outside of the United States. At some point, the movie was dropped and it's events were merged with this series, increasing it's planned episode count to 25.
The series officially started with the first draft of Return of the Guard (EBA's Fanon), which was started and completed on March 16th, 2023. While the first draft of The Lion Sleeps Tonight (EBA's Fanon) was started (and completed) earlier, I could never consider that draft to be a part of this series. It had a completely different goal compared to the series (plus was created prior to the series and movie being planned), and honestly, it was just bad in general.
On October 31st, 2023, the decision was made to make major changes to the series. These changes include reordering some of the episodes, splitting Return of the Guard into 2 episodes, reducing the planned episodes from 25 to 10, ending the Habari's Guard series, and moving the only episode of Habari's Guard with Bhaaloo's Fanon.
Summary[]
Kion is now an adult, and overtime has became the leader of the Night Pride, leaving Rani to perform the royal duties. One day, an injured lion named Kopa arrives at the Tree of Life following a bear attack. Kopa explains that he ran away after being attacked as a cub, and the Night Pride agree to help him find his home.
They determine that Kopa's home is in the Pride Lands, and he and Kion realize they are brothers. Kion agrees to bring Kopa home once he is healed. Before that could happen however, after a battle against Bhaaloo, the Tree of Life caught fire and could not be saved. Everyone was forced to move to the Pride Lands.
Upon arrival to the Pride Lands, Kopa reunites with his parents after many years. Vitani pulls Kion aside and admits her struggles to him. She stepped down as leader, making Kion the new leader. Afterwards, Simba and Nala explain the story of Kopa. When Kopa was young, he was attacked by Shenzi. Kopa got away, but Simba and Nala didn't know this. Simba attacked and killed Shenzi as a result.
Kion finally assembles his Lion Guard. He appoints all former members of the Night Pride. Rani, as second-in-command was granted the Roar of the Elders. Soon after, Rani gives birth to Habari, her and Kion's son. Not long after that, Kiara gives birth to Rabaha, her and Kovu's daughter.
A few months later, Simba dies of old age. Later on, Bhaaloo makes an attempt to kill Kion by pushing him off a cliff. Kion survives and heals quickly. Kion soon realizes that someone needs to keep eyes on Bhaaloo at all times, he soon hires Nyuni. Nyuni discovers that the guard's assumptions about Bhaaloo were wrong, he warned Kovu that he was in immediate danger. Kovu decides to take on Bhaaloo himself, believing the conflict to be his fault. Soon, he and Bhaaloo realize the truth, and Bhaaloo is welcomed into the Pride Lands.
Several months later, Kion explains to Habari that soon, he will lead his own Lion Guard. At first, Kion is nervous about Habari, but Rafiki assures him that Habari will make the right choices. Habari's team was then put to the test to ensure that they can be a successful Lion Guard. When his team passed the test, Kion stepped down.
