Prince Choyo (aka "Selfish Lion") was a male African lion. He was a tyrant rogue lion that was exiled from the Pridelands due to disrespecting the Circle of Life. He was formerly a prince of the Pridelands, and the leader of his lion Guard before he lost the Roar and his leadership was replaced by his cousin, Ishara I. He was a member of Simba's Pride in King Khari and subsequently, King Mohatu's days. He was the son of King Khari and Queen Nuru, the younger brother of King Mohatu, the mate of Hasiri and the father of Ajabu (aka, "Strange Lion".)
Description[]
Prince Choyo was a tawny golden lion, with a lighter muzzle, paws and underbelly. He had a medium brown mane with a black highlight. His tail tuft was also brown. He had a slender build, with a long muzzle. He had long black claws that are always unsheathed. His nose is a very dark brown, and his eyes are red.
Personality[]
Unlike his good hearted brother, Mohatu, Choyo was power hungry and ruthless. He was also malicious and liked manipulating other animals to get what he wants. He took advantage of the Great Drought to prey on many dehydrated animals, while Mohatu's pride and his Lion Guard weren't watching. Due to him killing many thirsty animals for sport, he lost the Roar forever, and was exiled from Mohatu's Pride by his older brother, King Mohatu himself, and his mate, Queen Chiku.

Trivia[]
-His name means "Greedy" in Swahili.
-He shares many similarities with his grandnephew, Scar. They were both the younger brother of the king of his time, both became evil due to neglect and favourism to their older brothers, both were leaders of their own Lion Guards, and lost their Roars after disrespecting the Circle of Life (though they lost them for different reasons), and both wanted to murder their older brother and become kings of the Pridelands (though Choyo failed to murder his older brother and become king, due to his evil intentions being revealed after killing so many dehydrated animals during The Great Drought.)
