Bunga is a teenage male honey badger that lives in the Pride Lands. He is the adopted nephew of Timon and Pumbaa, the girlfriend of Binga, the bravest member of the Lion Guard, and an honorary member of Max's Colony.

He is a main character in Legends of the Lion Guard.

Appearance[]

Cub[]

Bunga's pelt is dark blue, while his muzzle, chest, and underbelly are a lighter blue in color. He has three dark gray dots on his cheeks, a long, fluffy white crest, pink inner ears, a red nose, sharp black claws, and dark blue eyes with white sclerae. The Mark of the Guard is imprinted on his left shoulder in light blue.

Teenager []

As a teenager, Bunga doesn't change that much except that his white crest has grown longer. He has also grown a bit taller.

Personality[]

Bunga is a brave honey badger who is usually seen leaping head first into action. As such, he is Kion's opposite in many ways. Bunga is often time reckless because he frequently leaps into danger, often without considering the consequences and improvising to the best of his ability. Because of this, it can sometimes take him time to grasp the seriousness of a situation. Bunga is aware of his courage, which he proved when he told Kion why he thought he should be a member of the Lion Guard. Adventurous and fun-loving, Bunga is willing to disobey rules and put himself at risk. He rarely exhibits seriousness and frequently jokes and teases. Bunga is a ball of energy who is always ready to have fun. He is somewhat of a comedian who likes telling jokes to his friends in which they sometimes find funny.

Backstory[]

Bunga was born in the Pride Lands to unknown parents. As an infant, something mysterious happened to his parents, leaving him orphaned. However, Timon and Pumbaa quickly found him and took Bunga in, becoming his adopted uncles. They taught Bunga their ways of Hakuna Matata, and also taught him how to find grubs. Bunga enjoyed this carefree lifestyle, and this lifestyle also brought out his bold and silly traits. Soon, he met his best friend, Kion, and they began to play in the Pride Lands, often going on many adventures and misadventures. When Bunga and Kion grew, Kion selected him as the bravest member of the Lion Guard, and Bunga quickly accepted. He grew to be the bravest around, and despite it displeasing many animals, his stink became his major weapon. At some point, he met Binga and fell in love with her swiftly, soon
