Lada'i!
―Baliyo's catchphrase

Baliyo is a teenage lion who lives at the Tree of Life. They are the child of Jivin and Maya, the younger sibling of Rani, and a member of the Night Pride.

They are a supporting character in Legends of the Lion Guard.

Appearance []

Baliyo's pelt is brown, while their muzzle, paws, and underbelly are paler in color. They have a brown head tuft. Their eyes are blue.

Personality[]

Baliyo possesses a cheerful energy that contrasts with their sister Rani's more serious nature. They are energetic and impetuous, often throwing themself into dangerous situations that require the intervention of their teammates. In times of trial, Baliyo is avoidant, preferring to ignore their problems. However, when pushed, they value their family members over their own comforts. As a member of the Night Pride, Baliyo is tenacious and hard-working. Even when fatigued, they accomplish tasks to the best of their ability and prove to be a formidable fighter.

History[]

Backstory[]

Baliyo was born into the royal family of the Tree of Life as the second child of Jivin and Maya, and the younger sibling of Rani. Shortly after their birth, a peace treaty was agreed upon between Leopon Plains and the Tree of Life. As Baliyo grew, they became known for their fun-loving and carefree nature, and their attachment to their older sister, Rani. As the second-born cub, Baliyo soon began to learn some aspects of ruling, alongside their older sister, in order to provide support to her during her future reign. When Baliyo reached adolescence, they began to assist their older sister and Mhina in protecting all that reside within the Tree of Life and Leopon Plains.
