Bafe is a male puff adder that lives in the Imeatuka Desert.
Appearance[]
Bafe is somewhat longer than a typical puff adder, and he is just as stout, giving him rather powerful appearance. He has a flattened head, a blunt, stubby-looking snout, and a long tail that tapers prominently at the very tip. His keeled dorsal scales are dusty beige in color, marked by brown-black chevrons that are thinly edged in white. The sides of his head are a slightly lighter shade of brown than the rest of his body. His ventral scales, lower jaw, and rostral scale are all pale yellow. His round eyes are the color of polished simpsonite, with narrow obsidian slits for pupils. His body is usually dusted with sand.
Personality[]
A mysterious snake who gives nothing away, Bafe is always silent, watching, and waiting. He deliberately speaks vaguely, never directly offering information. He is endlessly patient, especially during hunts, as he searches for prey. When disturbed, he only gives one warning: the hissing sound and puffing action for which his kind was named. If this warning is not heeded, he wastes no time in resolving the issue. He never betrays his anger with hissing or harsh words, but instead delivers a quick strike to end the life of the animal who deigned bother him. He has a high opinion of himself, but never brags openly.
