Askari is a male lion and a member of the Moyo Hodari Pride.
Appearance[]
Tall and rangy, Askari is a skinny lion with thin limbs and a narrow face. Despite his gangling appearance, he is supple and fairly strong, with stringy muscles. His coat is a sandy gray color, pale silvery on his paws, muzzle, underbelly. His eyes are a steely blue-gray and appear to shine like stars. His whiskers are long are dark grayish brown. His small, pointed ears barely poke out from his thick, smooth mane, which is several shades darker than his fur and curls gently around his face. His nose is light brown, and the tuft at the end of his tail is the same color as his mane.
Personality[]
Askari is a chivalrous lion who behaves courteously towards the other lions in the pride. He is very protective over the pride's cubs and his two siblings, and considers it his responsibility that no harm comes to them. However, he also has a bouncing, playful nature, and some of his habits include chasing butterflies and splashing in water. He secretly wishes that he had been chosen as the heir to the throne, but does his best to suppress his yearning. He freely offers compliments, always looking to boost a pridemate's self-confidence.

Early Life[]
Askari was born into the pride. As a cub, he was fairly adventurous himself, but mostly tagged along to keep his siblings safe, mostly his wild sister. His mother learned to trust him to keep them out of danger.
At one point, he befriended Nyea the hare, and they remain pals to this day.
