Synopsis[]

An unknown threat attacks the Pride Lands, but it's not any of the villains the Lion Guard knows. Can the Lion Guard figure out who this threat is?

Transcript[]

On a beautiful day in the Pride Lands, the Lion Guard was doing a patrol in Ukuni Woods.

“Sure has been calm and peaceful lately.” Beshte said.

“You're right, Beshte.” Fuli said.

“Something's probably gonna happen now that we've said something.” Bunga said.

Kion glanced at Ono.

“Everything clear, Ono?” Kion asked.

“I'll take another look.” Ono said, and took to the sky.

Suddenly, Anga flew up to them.

“Hi, guys. Can I join your patrol today?” Anga asked.

“Sure, Anga.” Kion said.

Suddenly, Ono returned, and landed on Beshte's back.

“Kion, we have a situation.” Ono said.

“Called it. Knew something would happen.” Bunga said.

“What is it, Ono?” Kion asked.

“There's a strange clan of hyenas attacking Kasi and Imara at the Watering Hole.” Ono said.

“They aren't Janja's Clan?” Beshte asked.

“Can you check if it's Janja's?” Fuli asked.

Ono shook his head.

“I don't recognize them.” Ono said.

“Come on, let's go see what's going on.” Kion said.

He led the way to the Watering Hole.

When they arrived, Kion stopped suddenly.

“Ono's right. Those aren't any hyenas I know.” Kion said.

“What'll we do, Kion?” Beshte asked.

“We drive them out, and save Kasi and Imara.” Kion said.

He bounded forward.

“Who are you?! What're you doing in the Pride Lands?” Kion asked.

The hyena glanced up.

“My name is Kucha.” Kucha said, as she lunged forward, and pinned Kion to the ground, scratching him with her claws.

Immediately, Beshte rushed forward, and shoved Kucha off of Kion.

Bunga moved forward, and helped Kion to his paws.

“You okay, Kion?” Fuli asked.

“I'm fine, they're just scratches.” Kion said.

His expression hardened as he glared at Kucha.

“I'm giving you one chance to leave peacefully.” Kion said.

“Why should we leave? This land is perfect to feast upon.” Kucha said.

Kion glanced behind him at Fuli.

“Get Kasi and Imara behind me.” Kion said.

Fuli nodded. She moved forward, and led Kasi and Imara to stand behind Kion.

Kion unsheathed his claws, and sank them into the earth underneath him.

He braced himself, and performed the Roar.

It sent Kucha and her clan flying backwards.

Kion watched them stumble towards the Outlands border.

He glanced at Kasi and Imara.

“Are you two okay?” Kion asked.

Kasi nodded.

“We're fine, honey.” Kasi said.

“Thanks, Lion Guard.” Imara added.

“You're welcome.” Bunga said.

Kion glanced at Anga, Fuli, Ono, Beshte, and Bunga.

“We'd better go back to Pride Rock, and tell Mom and Dad about the hyenas.” Kion said.

“Good idea, Kion.” Ono said.

Kion glanced at Kasi and Imara.

“Do you two want to come back with us?” Kion asked.

“No thanks. We're going to hunt in Mbali Fields.” Kasi said.

“Okay.” Kion said.

He glanced at Fuli, Ono, Anga, Beshte, and Bunga.

“Come on, let's go tell my parents.” Kion said.

“See you later, Kion.” Imara said.

She and Kasi watched as the Lion Guard and Anga headed towards Pride Rock.

When they arrived, they saw Simba, Nala, Kiara, Kovu, Kohana, and Ayana, and settled down outside the den.

Simba and Nala glanced up as the Lion Guard and Anga approached.

“Everything okay, son?” Simba asked.

“Everything's fine, we drove away a clan of strange hyenas that were attacking Kasi and Imara.” Kion said.

“Are they okay?” Nala asked.

“Yes, they're okay. They're hunting in Mbali Fields.” Kion said.

Behind him, Ayana had bounded over to Fuli.

“Guess what, Fuli.” Ayana said brightly.

“What is it?” Fuli asked.

“Amira's started training for her first hunt.” Mari said.

Fuli chuckled, and rubbed a paw against Ayana's cheek.

“That's great, Mari.” Fuli said warmly.

“Well done, Lion Guard.” Simba said.

“Thanks, Dad.” Kion said.

He glanced at Beshte, Fuli, Ono, Bunga, and Anga.

“Let's go to the Lair, guys.” Kion said.

“Okay, Kion,” Beshte said.

Beshte, Ono, Anga, Bunga, and Kion began to head towards the Lair.

After nuzzling Ayana affectionately, Fuli followed after Kion.

Kion led the Guard and Anga into the Lair, and they settled down.

“So, what'll we do now?” Bunga asked.

“Wait for another crisis to occur.” Kion said.

Fuli cleared her throat.

“Mari told me that Amira's started training for her first hunt.” Fuli said.

“Yeah, she has. She's doing really good.” Kion said.

Suddenly, Makini rushed into the Lair.

“That was fast.” Bunga said quietly.

“What is it, Makini?” Kion asked.

“There's a strange group of hyenas in the Pride Lands. They're attacking Nguruma and Na'Zyia at Lake Shangaza.” Makini said.

Kion and Fuli exchanged a glance.

“Kucha's Clan. They came back.” Fuli said.

“Come on, let's go save them.” Kion said.

“Can I come too?” Makini asked.

“Sure, you can come.” Kion said.

He led the Lion Guard, Anga, and Makini out of the Lair, and they headed towards Lake Shangaza.

When they arrived, Kion stopped suddenly, horrified by what he saw.

Kucha had pinned Nguruma to the ground, and was scratching his pelt with her claws.

Two other hyenas were cornering Na'Zyia against a tree.

Swiftly, Kion lunged forward, knocking Kucha off of Nguruma.

“Get away from my family, and leave the Pride Lands. Now.” Kion growled.

“Why should we? They're just helpless cubs. One of them is blind.” Kucha said.

Kion glanced at Beshte and Fuli.

“Get Na'Zyia and Nguruma away from them. I'm using the Roar.” Kion said.

“You got it, Kion.” Beshte said.

Fuli moved forward, and gently nudged Nguruma to his paws, curling her tail around his shoulders. She and Beshte led Na'Zyia and Nguruma towards Makini, who was unwrapping a herb wrap, that had been tied to her staff.

Kion unsheathed his claws, and sank them into the earth underneath him.

He braced himself, and performed the Roar.

It sent Kucha and her clan flying backwards.

Kion watched them stumble towards the Outlands border.

He glanced at Nguruma.

“Is he okay?” Kion asked.

“Yes, he'll be okay. I put a poultice on the scratches.” Makini said.

Kion moved forward, and nudged Nguruma to his paws, brushing his tail against Nguruma's flank.

“Can you take him home, Na'Zyia?” Kion asked.

Na'Zyia nodded.

She moved over, and curled her tail around Nguruma's flank.

“I'll go with them. I can take care of Nguruma.” Makini said.

“Bye, Makini.” Fuli said.

Kion watched as Makini and Na'Zyia led Nguruma towards Pride Rock.

“Let's patrol Mekundu Cliffs.” Kion said.

“Good idea, Kion.” Ono said.

As Kion led the way towards Mekundu Cliffs, Ono suddenly landed on Beshte's back.

“We have a situation, Kion.” Ono said.

“What is it, Ono?” Kion asked.

“Kucha's Clan is back in the Pride Lands. They're attacking Masozi at Lake Shangaza.” Ono said.

“Seriously.” Fuli muttered.

“Come on, let's go save him, and drive the strange hyenas out for good.” Kion said.

He led the way to Lake Shangaza.

When they arrived, Kion bounded forward.

“I told you to get out of the Pride Lands!” Kion called.

“We don't have to listen to you. You're just a little cub. These lands have all sorts of animals.” Kucha said.

“Leave my nephew alone, and get out of the Pride Lands. Now.” Kion growled.

Fuli moved forward, and led Masozi to stand behind Kion.

Kion unsheathed his claws, and sank them into the earth underneath him.

He braced himself, and performed the Roar.

It sent Kucha and her clan flying backwards.

Kion watched them stumble towards the Outlands border.

When they'd gone, Kion turned to Masozi.

“Are you okay?” Kion asked.

Masozi nodded.

“Come on, we'll take you home. Then we can relax in the Lair.” Kion said.

Anga cleared her throat.

“I'd better be heading off,” Anga said.

“See you later, Anga.” Ono said.

Kion led the Lion Guard and Masozi to Pride Rock.

Meanwhile, Kucha's Clan had assembled at Broken Rock.

“So, what'll we do now?” Zakia asked.

“Now, I get revenge on that lion cub and his friends.” Kucha said darkly.
