Kion is furious that someone would dare hurt his beloved Fuli
Premise[]
The Bite of Kenge, though new, is a favorite episode of mine, and I decided to adapt one of my favorite moments in the whole episode: when Fuli is bitten and Kion growls in fury. I also noticed that he only does that when it happens to her and not with Beshte, or even with himself. Given that Kion and Fuli are dating at this point in my remake, this scene makes even more sense to me when I see it. In my take, however, I have changed things: only Fuli is bitten. Kion manages to avoid the bite, and the whole incident is stopped when Jasiri bites off Kenge's tail. From there, as Ono goes to get Rafiki, Kion cares for his wounded girlfriend. This is in Kion's POV. I did research, and there is a risk of infection with a Monitor bite. In my remake, Kion got his new title during the Ukumbusho, so this takes place a short time before Kion's near death experience in A Cheetah's Shame.
Story[]
The rage in your heart is unleashed when you see what happened
The fury bursts into a blazing inferno
You can feel the heat within your body
Fuli is hurt
Kenge, the vicious Monitor lizard, is responsible
Fuli was the first to confront him
To your horror and anger, he bit her
His razor-sharp teeth slice deep into her flesh
Blood begins to weep out of the wound
She tries to move, but is paralyzed
Your eyes narrow
A growl escapes your throat
No one hurts your cheetah love
Kenge strikes for you next
You just barely manage to dodge him
The next strike never comes
Jasiri ends it all
She bites the base of Kenge's tail
The tail comes off completely thanks to her immense bite strength, the breaking sound of the bones audible
The lizard hisses in pain before fleeing with Janja, Cheezi and Chungu
The enemy has fled
Now it is time to care for Fuli
You hear Ono talking about the paralysis of Monitor lizard venom, and the serious risk of infection for Fuli
The very thought horrifies you
You cannot imagine life without her
He goes to get Rafiki while you and the others stay
You begin to lick her wound clean
She smiled, adoring her prince
A promise is made that day
You will never allow anything to happen to her
Not now
Not ever again
If you see Kenge again, you will have some serious words for him
