<p>The time has arrived for another news post! </p><p><big><big>Category Cleanup</big></big> </p><p>The Pride Landers category was titled 'Pridelanders' until recently, has been changed to the proper name. All pages were moved from the old and now deleted Pridelanders category to the new, correctly named category, which might explain why I (A Friendly Lion, Royal Lion) edited a page belonging to another user. </p><p><big><big>Hybrid Page Repair</big></big> </p><p>Most of the Hybrid pages have been edited in order to remove animal categories (for example, a lion-tiger hybrid will have had the lion category removed). This was done because, while a hybrid is the result of two species breeding, the hybrid itself is not either of those species, but something different. A lion-hyena hybrid is not a lion nor a hyena. It may display traits from both species, but it it could not be called a true hyena. </p><p><big><big>Canon Characters Update</big></big> </p><p>The Canon Characters page is being updated to make it more consistent and organized. There is still work to be done and characters to add, but the characters that are there at the moment are, for the most part, organized. </p><p><big><big>Other News</big></big> </p>

• Canon Characters/Gallery is protected while optimizations are made to it.

<p>This news post is arriving so soon after the last due to a lot of activity going on on the wiki. </p><p><big>Fanfiction Category</big> </p><p>For a long time, everything has been thrown into the fanfiction category. Fanon locations, songs, characters, stories- just about everything on the wiki. Recently, this was changed after an agreement that only fanfictions stories are to be placed in the fanfiction category. The reason for this is that for one, the term 'fanfiction' usually just means fanfiction stories, and for another, we are a fanon wiki. To elaborate, if you qualify fanon characters, songs, locations, et cetera, as fanfiction, then everything on the wiki will be in that category, especially with the recent deletions of the canon song pages, canon characters pages, and shippings pages(see below for more information). We'd like to avoid this, so from now on only fanfiction stories will go into the fanfiction category. </p><p><big>Shippings Page</big> </p><p>Until recently, the shippings pages on this wiki were few, unorganized, and scattered. To repair this, they have all been moved to the page Shippings. All shippings are to go beneath one of three headings: canon and canon, canon and fanon, or fanon and fanon. </p><p><big>Deletion of Canon Songs</big> </p><p>As was the case with the shippings pages, the pages for canon songs on this wiki were short and unnecessary, considering that both the Lion King Wiki and the Lion Guard Wiki have pages for the canon songs. The pages for canon songs have been deleted. Because of this, the song category has diminished. I encourage users to write fanon songs of their own! You'll earn some neat badges and help us out in expanding a small category! </p><p><big>Other News</big> </p>

<p><big>Two New Categories</big> </p><p>Recently, categories for Parents and Young Animals have been added to the wikia. The reason for the first category is that many characters are mothers and fathers, so it is useful to have a category for them. The reason for the latter is that while we do have a category for cubs, we do not have categories for other young animals. Though young lions and hyenas are both referred to as cubs, we also have characters on this wiki that are meerkat pups, zebra foals, sable antelope calves, and so on. </p><p>In the process of adding these new categories to characters, I also added a few other proper categories here and there when needed. </p><p>Since so many pages were edited, I made the decision to add this news to a highlighted announcement rather than messaging all users individualing. </p><p><big>Deleted Canon Characters</big> </p><p>Not long ago, it was decided that as this is a fanon wiki, canon character pages should be deleted. Currently, there are no more canon character pages except for Canon Characters(and the accompanying gallery), though there might be lingering minor characters that have not been deleted. If you find any of these pages, please report them to an admin. </p><p>Deleting the canon character pages left red links on a lot of pages. These red links lead to pages that will never be re-created, so they have been removed from many pages by admins. Users are encouraged to edit their own pages in order to perform this task. Do not edit the pages belonging to other users; this is an admin-only duty. </p><p><big>Roleplaying Board</big> </p><p>A roleplaying board was recently created. If you have any ideas for a roleplay, post a thread there! Roleplaying is a fun way to get into character and put your creations to use. • Some badges were given new images and names.

• Modifications were made to the rules page, mostly minor changes and grammer fixes.

• The Characters tab on the Wiki Navigation bar was edited to focus on groups of characters rather than a few select ones.

<p>Two new important websites have been created yesterday. The first one was created by TheNewGuy01, here is his website. His website is all about The Lion King, it is a free resource to learn all about it. The second website was created by me, Kiara_M249, it is a website for a behind look on The Lion King Fanon Wiki. News and Contests will be posted, and NewGuy and me will have the password to edit it. Here it is.  </p><p>Some even MORE important anouncement is that we have our own email.
